Hi! I’m Erica Schmalz! I’ve been in the photography business for about 8 years now! But in the Boudoir game for a little over 3 years! And I gotta say I don’t know what took me so long! Boudoir has become such an outlet for me and I love what it does for those that take the leap and do it! It’s extremely rewarding for you ladies but also for me. I graduated college with a psychology degree that I planned to go on and get my counseling license with, life happened and that just didn’t end up being the plan anymore. But there has always been this desire to help others and to listen. These sessions are so therapeutic for so many. I love what I do and I’m so very blessed to have the privilege to do it and to meet all these wonderful people along the way.
While my studio is not always setup for these types of session, I do take booking for my studio twice a year. Once in the summer and once in the fall. I hire a hair and makeup girl, and book sessions back to back! Message me to be put on my contact list for those booking dates! Absolutely!!! I never share pictures without the knowledge and consent of my clients. All pictures you see here have been approved by the women who participated in these sessions! my number one concern above all else is their comfort and experience with me.

Yes! I have all kinds of fun outfits to pick from. In many different sizes! You can bring your own outfits or pick through the closet!

Absolutely not!!!! In fact I’d much rather you come see me as a gift to yourself! No one deserves this experience more than you do! This is for you to feel confident in the skin you’re in. Learning to love yourself can be hard and taking this journey is a big step in the right direction!

Lots of laughter!!! We laugh the entire time. You’ll arrive to get your hair and makeup done. While you’re being pampered you can enjoy a glass of wine (if you are 21+) and we get to know you a bit! After hair and makeup we go over your outfits and then begin your shoot!

Not even a little! I do all that for you. I walk you through step by step poses. I do every pose with you. I go over them as many times as you need. I have so many poses so if at any time you become uncomfortable with a pose or a pose hurts your body in some way then we just move on to the next one. I show you your sexy side! Book a session and leave the rest to me!

Two hours! One hour for hair and make-up and then one hour for shoot time. Couples sessions typically take about an additional 30 minutes.

Yes, I use lightroom and/or photoshop to adjust colors and lighting. I use a skin smoothing technique to cover blemishes such as pimples, bruises or scars (if requested). Any further retouching will have to be discussed before hand and is not guaranteed. I want to leave you as natural as possible. After all we are celebrating who YOU are.

I do not allow people to come and observe. I want you to be completely comfortable trying new things and with onlookers we tend to second guess ourselves. I also want your session to be 100% about you! I want to be able to give you my full attention and I’m a talker so if I have more people in the room its hard for me to do that. And then there is the fact that I want you to get what you pay for! Your time with me is precious and if I’m having to direct someone around the room so that they don’t end up in the pictures it takes away from that time.
If you are interested in a couples session then there is an additional fee for the additional time that is added to your session.
If you and a friend want to buy back to back sessions where I’m dedicating time to the both of you for your sessions then I will allow you to arrive at the same time and stay for the others session!
